The Window Is Closing….

Posted by admin on Aug-28-2009
Why So Serious?

Why So Serious?

The window of hope for the survival of the Constitutional United States is shrinking rapidly. This window is about to be slammed shut BEFORE the next three 1/2 years of this presidential administration passes.

Our economy is under the thumb of the federal government in partnership with big business, and the steamroller of the Waxman-Markey cap & trade bill is just beginning to power up. The banking industry is completely run by the federal government, with the board of directors and ceos being intimidated and threatened by limited pay structures and outright hostile takeovers by a ‘pay czar’ and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner in conjunction with the Federal Reserve Bank.

The business-killing environmental bill will destroy what is left of the free-market economy not already destroyed by government takeover along with the recession and deficit spending. The FCC ‘Diversity Czar’ proposes a 100% TAX on the profit of privately-owned radio and television stations and no one in government has a problem with that?

Socialized medicine is being forced forward by clueless congressmen in obedience to the leader of the Democratic party, the exalted Barak Obama, and now REPUBLICAN Senators Grassley, Snowe, and Enzi are meeting behind closed doors the opposition to hammer out a compromise. Thanks, RINOS! This bill will open your TAX RETURN info to all branches of government having to do with benefits and healthcare, which is broadening every day.

Now there is a bill in the senate that will allow the immaculate Obama to seize control of ALL INTERNET COMMUNICATION! If you think that this president and this progressive juggernaut is done, slap yourself for being stupid, wake up and admit it is ONLY THE BEGINNING! Never in our history as a nation have we been pushed so far from our Constitutional liberties and protections. And it has only sped up frighteningly in the last 8 months.

This has been planned for for the last century or more. In the last few decades, the planning and co-opting of governmental and educational institutions has grown exponentially. What we see happening today is the fruit of the progressive movements efforts over the last century.  That’s why this Joker-poster speaks so deeply to me.

The mask Obama wears is one of socialism, he admits it freely. He operates in it, by taking over banks and car companies, pushing for the public option in healthcare, AND he spoke plainly to Joe the Plumber about the redistribution of wealth handled by the federal government.

But, BEHIND the mask, is a radical statist. His grab for power is unparalleled in our history. I don’t think even FDR had the ambition of this president and his supporters. I also think that even he isn’t completely in touch with where this will all take us as a nation. I think he blindly trusts the revolutionaries, progressives, and marxists that he has grown up around and worked with his entire life. When the Joker makeup comes off, what’s behind it is even more frightening.

His instinctive distrust of state’s rights, individual liberties, individualists, conservatives, third-party activists, and people of faith is a telling commentary on his thought process. His racist response the the Professor Gates arrest showed what was in his heart. The liberal black RADICAL professor, who has said in the past that he likes to “get into” white people’s faces, could in NO WAY have been at fault, nooooooo….. it MUST have been the white cop! And, of course, we ALL know that people who believe in state’s rights are racist terrorists who want to re-establish slavery. That’s why he has us on the DHS domestic terrorist list and established the flag@whitehouse.gov email snitch site.

Uncle Sam Snitch

Uncle Sam Snitch

Add to that the comment he has made that the Constitution is a list of negative rights, that it is deficient in that it only enumerates what government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t list what the government is supposed to do FOR you. (He missed that part about providing for the common defense and establishing peace and the PURSUIT of happiness.) If he were the constitutional scholar that he pretends to be, he might understand the formation of our government and Constitution.

The Founding Fathers lived in a time when oppression and suffering came in the form of BAD government. World-wide, empires and monarchies used their citizens as property and denied the most basic rights whenever it suited them without the slightest regard for the individual. Freedom and Liberty were the ideals that they fought for, and they fought to wrest it FROM oppressive government.

The Constitution recognizes that government is the biggest evil when it comes to human suffering. The Constitution recognizes that individuals need to be protected from government, so the Founders greatly limited the powers of government and subjected it to continual reviews by the citizenry. Now, the government has been on a path for the last century to exalt itself above the people and above the Constitution.

Every time a 1000-page bill is forced through by emergency procedures, our window of hope closes more. Every time a new czar or ’special advisor’ is appointed by this White House the window of hope closes more. Every time the MSM covers for the lies and deceit of this administration and congress, the window closes more. The more FEDERAL TAX DOLLARS, numbering in the billions, is funneled to groups like Americorps, ACORN, the Tides Project, SEIU, and the like, the window closes even more.

I’m going to DC on 9/12. Go to www.912dc.org today and find out how to get there. Call, write, email, and VISIT your elected representatives before the window closes completely. Give to conservative causes and organizations like SarahPAC or the IAPN (if you’re in Nevada) But get involved and DO something.

When we gather in DC on September 12th, we will be providing a show of force that the world will not be able to ignore. Not a force of arms, but a force of our individual rights, protected by our Constitution. If we don’t make a stand THIS YEAR, and continue to stand through the election cycle of 2010, our country is lost to the very oppression the Founders tried to guard against.

Now is the time….. and this is our moment and place of decision.

Clueless Members of Congress @ Townhalls

Posted by admin on Aug-12-2009

The rage continues unabated. Arlen Specter, Claire McCaskill, Russ Carnahan, Cynthia McKinney, and others all faced angry voters these last two weeks at townhall meetings in their districts. Democrat or Republican, anyone promoting any version of the Healthcare Reform bill currently being worked on in Congress got an earful.

The main issue for the protestors is that healthcare reform in its current incarnation is the last straw. When George W. passed the TARP bailouts, many of us called or wrote to our representatives to protest. We were blown off, because of the ‘urgency’ of the crisis. Then as Obama took the oath of office, there began this steady drumbeat of spend, regulate, takeover, spend, regulate, takover – rinse twice, and repeat.

From Bush’s TARP, to Obama’s Budget, Stimulus Bill, Cap & Trade, Auto Bailout & Takeover, and now, Healthcare, the temperature of the average American has been rising. With this last forced measure to cram healthcare reform down our throats, many of us are left gagging. More Americans are willing to hold the line on this issue than any other, and it comes with a swell of protest.

With every outrageous spending proposal, with the effort to sneak through an unpopular federal hate crimes bill that stifles the freedom of religious speech, and with the outrageous control the executive branch is exercising over the economic sector and monetary policy, we have called, written, and even gone to teaparty protests. The media scoffs, the President, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelsosi are derisive and insulting, and many of us have had enough.

Just as AARP found out at a recent meeting in Texas, their membership wants to be heard. Just as many members of congress are finding out now, their constituents want to be heard. Take this healthcare bill that so many in Congress, as well as the President, say can’t wait. We can’t take the time to work out the best way to get it done for the best price, it has to be now! We can’t find a way to make damn sure that NO provision of this bill can be misconstrued by future administrations and future generations to deprive the American public of their God-given, Constitutionally-protected rights. Nope, no time to waste, do it now.

Um….. why? And why can’t the people who will ultimately be paying for it ask hard questions? Ooh, here’s a $64,000.00 question, WHY don’t the people crafting this bill have to accept the same medical coverage they want to force on the rest of us? Every Member of Congress has an exceptional medical insurance package as part of their compensation. If Healthcare Reform passes, they will be bound by NONE of its provisions. And if they win re-election enough times, when they retire, they get to keep their Golden Parachute medical coverage. That sounds fair and equitable, right? That the ones making the rules don’t have to play by them? Only in Washington.

Arrogant Arlen will retire with a pension and benefit package better than most people in the private sector, all paid for with our tax dollars. Even if he loses his re-election bid next year, he is set for the rest of his life. And anything he votes for this term will never touch him personally, just those in PA he purports to ‘represent.’

More and more Americans are waking up to the fact that they do not WANT this drastic a change in their nation, and are fighting to conserve what is great about America. All I can say is, 2010 will be too late, if we can’t slow this Congress and this President down right now, what will the next 3 1/2 years hold for us? I shudder to think!

Step away from the bill, Senator, and drop the Koolaide!

Vote On The Racial OBAMA-JOKER Poster

Posted by admin on Aug-6-2009

Well, now we’ll get some justice.

Why So Serious?

Why So Serious?

There is a website where you can sue someone in the court of public opinion. The website is AllRise, the people’s court. Their latest case is that the Obama-Joker poster is racist and should be done away with. Not a very compelling argument for the prosecution, but it gets the ball rolling.

There is only one argument for the prosecution so far, and three for the defense (yes I was one of them). The defense states that it is not racist, but protected political speech. I agree.

The Washington Post put out an LSD-inspired column today that the poster is racist because the Joker was a wounded urban figure, and OF COURSE that identifies directly with the black community….  HUH? If that’s true, then where were the cries of racist profiling when the DARK KNIGHT came out? This multi-million dollar blockbuster, enjoyed by millions of people of all races, ran in theaters for months and there was not one complaint of the racial connection.

Vanity Fair  ran a piece exactly one year ago that portrayed George Bush as the Joker from the Dark Knight, and there was no protest. In fact, no one decried that a white president was being portrayed as a character that is closely identified with the suffering black community, because no one can find that connection, not even with an electron microscope, because there ISN”T ONE!!!!

Only in the fever-dreams of liberal elitists can any connection to race be made with this image. It captures the unpredictable and dangerous nature of this administration in a satirical image. It speaks volumes by itself. Satire doesn’t have to correlate 100% between the props used to make the point. There doesn’t have to be an exact DNA match to use something like this image to get a point across. It is close enough to the fear and dread that many of Obama’s POLICIES have evoked to be effective.

Apparently my liberal brothers and sisters have yet to get over race. They can’t seem to handle any criticism of their president as legitimate, in their minds it must be racist. No one can have a legitimate political argument against a black President? This particular image is a racial attack? I even had Rick Kline of ABC’s “The Note” Twitter me to ask about it. “@revrowland maybe I’m dense but what is the message in the image?”

This poster is a form of protest. The one responsible is a satirical genius, and obviously knew that the powers that be in this nation would respond harshly. They were wise to remain anonymous. I, however, am not that wise. I’ve changed my Twitter avatar to this image and I will buy the t-shirt and make signs to carry to DC.

The Joker is coming…. are you ready?

9/12 March on Washington

Posted by admin on Jul-15-2009

It’s been building for some time. The frustration of many if not most Americans about the runaway spending and complete redefinition of our free-market economy. The things that made us prosperous and free are being vilified and condemned by our own government.

The outbreak of Teaparties was an outlet for many and most of us had hoped they would lead to something meaningful. The response in most places was greater than expected. The reaction of the media as a whole was not expected. While not sympathetic to regular, ordinary Americans, I was surprised at how they worked so hard to ignore these events. FOX News has been blasted as planning and organizing many of them, but that is far from the truth. ANY news organization that would have covered in-depth the teaparty movement without starting arguments would have been welcomed. Yes, I’m looking at you, Susan Roesgen of CNN!

I had hoped that each event would grow larger and lead up to a million plus people marching to the steps of the Capitol building in DC, and shaking the stupid out of Congress. But, to my dismay, many people are even more disillusioned after the Tax Day Teaparties than before. I have been told countless times that ‘They didn’t lead to anything meaningful.’ I thought they were a start, a gathering place, but many had been looking for much more.

The problem is that Teaparty people aren’t activists. They are regular folks with jobs and families. They run businesses and are a part of their communities. They don’t think like activists, they think like moms and dads, business owners and neighbors. The opposition, ACORN, unions, liberal groups- anyone who is FOR the overspending spree in Washington, they have organizations and groups of people that think like political activists. They have been planning for this day for a really long time and they are hell-bent on ramming through as much of their agenda as they can while Barry, Harry, and Nancy have the reins of power.

On the regular American side, you have people looking around in frustration, wondering what we can do to stop this insanity. MAny came out to the Tax Day events and even some before that looking for some leadership or an action plan. When all they saw was a pep rally, they felt good for the moment, and then went back to work, back to school, back to raising their families. With the derision of the White House and the national media, many felt as though it were an exercise in futility. That is EXACTLY what the opposition wanted them to think and feel.

We can’t let their tactics work on us. If enough American voters show up in DC on 9/12, IN PERSON and with a voice, it will shake the halls of congress. I believe with all my heart that liberals want you and I to just give up, go to work and pay our ever-increasing share of taxes while they buy elections and divert billions of dollars to their operatives such as ACORN and the SEIU. There is a deliberate plan to defund the opposition, meaning conservative or libertarian groups, and lavishly fund those groups who exert pressure whenever and wherever they are needed. It has devolved into a rent-a-mob with federal tax dollars.

For those of us who believe in the America we grew up in, this is the fight for our lives. I am telling you that if this administration and congress get what they want, America will change forever for the worse. With the national debt, environmental regulation, and now healthcare initiatives, we will be bankrupt and at the mercy of our creditors, which will be foreign entities. We will become a ward of the UN collectively.

We need to take a stand and soon. I am frustrated with writing letters and calling my representatives and emailing only to get snide responses or form letter that don’t even address my questions. I am tired of politicians working in a bubble in DC and the rest of the country be damned. I am tired of an self-deluded elite group of people deciding what is best for me and my future AND the future of the nation I love.

If you love this country and hate what is being done to her right now, you NEED to get moving. If you think you can AT ALL make it to DC in September, go to this website, right now and get the information. You don’t need to register, but it helps with planning. Then let other people know of your commitment to stop this stupidity before it is too late. PLEASE, take your stand today, your kids and grandkids will thank you.

I’m just sayin’……..
