About the Rev.

The Rev.
Politics and Religion don’t mix, they say…… and then proceed to claim every moral position that faith and religion speak to is now political territory. The encroachment of PC – nazis on everyday life is relentless. I say, if my faith does not inform my political and worldview, then it is a useless belief and is no faith at all.
So what drives people of faith in their political life? A burning understanding that there is right and wrong in the world, and that we will be held accountable. As I raise my voice to express my convictions, I am speaking personally and not as the church, but my convictions are informed by the faith that I live. For me, the guiding principle is what the Lord told the prophet Isaiah:
“Wash yourselves and be clean! Let me no longer see your evil deeds. Give up your wicked ways. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the orphan. Fight for the rights of widows.” Isaiah 1:16,17
As I live my life before God through His strength, and give up my selfish ways, He says I should do good and seek justice. Part of seeking justice is being politically active, and standing up for what is right or….. just. Seeking justice leads to helping those that are oppressed, and there is no oppression more evident in our world than bad or ineffective forms of government.
So if I am to fulfill God’s mandate on my life, I have to be engaged and active in my society, and more often than not, that means politically. As the government of the United States expands to touch every single area of our lives, then it follows that in order to seek justice and defend orphans and fight for others’ rights, I must engage government. It is PART of the free exercise I am guaranteed by the constitution.
The Rev. is ready to pontificate……. are you ready for some church? how about some state? Here we show how the two have already been mixed and mingled, and how the hypocrites try to shush the church while stealing rights from the average person. The freedoms that people of faith have enjoyed from the founding of our nation are under assault, and the right to express our views, EVEN when they spring from our faith is being marginalized.
Armed with truth, (& packing heat) the Rev. wants to open up the dialog again, and let Liberty reign supreme. From the desert of Nevada, in a place known as ‘Sin City’ this Las Vegas Rev. is open for business!!
Fighting for God & country, mom & apple pie……………. and he loves a great sandwich!
