Tomorrow is July 3rd, the date of another round of teaparties around the country. Independence Day, July 4th, has yet another grouping of teaparties being held. Will they grow in momentum, or will they begin to dribble off to a handful of die-hard activists who have no national voice?

The answer lies with the people of America. If not enough Americans are awake enough to see our freedoms being stolen out from under us by government, then we are doomed. Government over-reaching has only accelerated since April 15th, and now we have a double-barreled shotgun of Cap and Trade along with the impending Healthcare Reform Regime that Congress will next force upon us. If we stand up again, regularly and loudly, the numbers and volume will encourage others to stand up for freedom as well. Each teaparty should build to the next event, allowing for networking and brainstorming and local projects should be spawned from each event. Here in Nevada, it is being proposed that we use a clause in the Nevada Constitution to have a referendum on the ballot to overthrow the recent billion-dollar tax increase the legislature just forced on the citizens of our state.

This is just the sort of initiative that should come from the Teaparties. Find something that will make a meaningful change, and cooperate to enact it. The problem with Teaparty people is that they are individualists and they are the first people to tell you where to stick it if they disagree with your agenda, as a friend recently pointed out to me. To save our nation and our freedoms, we are going to have to come together to cooperate and work together. The left is. The unions are. ACORN does. And we are going to lose the America we know if we can’t pull it together an push back the lunacy.

My family and I are planning on attending the National Teaparty Protest on 9/12 in Washington, DC. My birthdate is 9/11, and I told my wife that this year I want to go to DC and join the protest as my gift. To my great delight, she has made the plans for us to go and participate. If not enough of us participate, it will be scoffed away by Obama and the MSM. If enough of us show up, and it is visible from space, they cannot ignore us or our demands.

They will try, but our concerted efforts will embolden others who may join us and we can begin the roll-back of the lunacy in 2010. Do your part, stand up and join in with others to save the republic that has birthed the greatest levels of freedom the world has ever known, or resign to the fact that we are becoming the EU.
