Babylon 5 in Las Vegas?

Jerry Doyle

Jerry Doyle

I told my wife and kids I just met Jerry Doyle.

Who?

JERRY DOYLE!! Google him!

He walked the bride down the aisle at a wedding I was officiating on Friday night, and I couldn’t get anyone jazzed about it! Of course, he was wearing flip-flops and a hawaiian shirt but, hey, it’s Jerry Doyle! The bride and groom were Vegas locals, and they were long-time friends. He didn’t know he was in the wedding until he showed up, so he came casual. Quite a picture, the bride in her off-the-shoulder white wedding gown, with her train following behind, and …… Jerry in a Hawaiian shirt. Classic.

.

The guy that walked in behind him was a real @$#%, he had to be told to take his cigarette out of the WEDDING CHAPEL, because I guess he wasn’t aware you shouldn’t smoke inside the WEDDING CHAPEL. Then he flicks it out the door to smolder on the stoop just in front of the chapel…. you know, where the bride and groom make their grand exit? First class all the way, baby!

This same clod had to be told to sit down during the ceremony when he starts roaming around with his hand-held camcorder to get all the best angles on his little Sony handicam and completely screw up the background of the video the chapel shoots for the couple. Why do people with a cam-corder think they are invisible? Anyway…… back to the real story-

When I was in high school, there was a scifi show with Bruce Boxleitner about a space station orbiting Earth where all the alien races we’d met held their inter-galactic government and negotiation center. Jerry Doyle played the part of Head of Security, Michael Garibaldi. He was a supporting character, but swooped in to save the day several times.

But Scifi geekification aside, his real genius has come through his talk radio show, The Jerry Doyle Show. Nationally syndicated, his show is based here in Las Vegas. More often than not, Jerry has called the political and economic scenarios facing our nation before the facts have come to light. His commentary as an independent voice has been refreshing and frankly, needed. Jerry was a political independent before it was en vogue.

NO, I didn’t ask for his autograph or pose for a picture with him, just like I didn’t when Don King came to a wedding I officiated. I try to not impose myself on the guests of our ceremonies, especially if they are well-known, because they get it all the time, and I’m there to do my job for the wedding couple.

Getting to meet him in person was a real treat, but I doubt he’ll remember me, it WAS  a Vegas wedding, and the party had started before they got to the chapel, IF you know what I mean….. But the few minutes I had to speak with him was a memorable conversation. Even if nobody in my family knows who he is, at least I enjoyed it!

Keep up the good work, Jerry!

Violence…. From The Left.

Posted by admin on Nov-18-2009

UPDATE: Of COURSE they took this video off of Youtube….. we wouldn’t want the truth to come out, would we? In a nutshell: 2 Teaparty dudes walk through a pro-illegal immigrant protest taking pictures. They are attacked with sticks and signs in a 3-on-2 confrontation, and the Tea Party dudes hold their own. At one point, the elderly victim put his well-muscled attacker on the ground with his knee on his throat. It was sad and hilarious all at the same time. The persuasion of power indeed.

Why isn’t Congress melting down? Where is Princess Pelosi with her crocodile tears about the ‘violence’, and the ‘rhetoric’? This video of pro-illegal immigration and amnesty  goons attacking two unarmed Tea Party Patriots shows which side starts violence… and which side finishes it.

Did you notice how ‘Muscles’, who took the first shot with his sign and stick ended up on his back, pinned down until his girlfriend came in to make it 3 vs. 2?

The Rev. & Gladney @ LV Tea Party

The Rev. & Gladney @ LV Tea Party

Michelle Malkin posted this video and it is a shocking picture of the thugs from the left, doing everything that the Tea Partiers don’t do, but we get accused and they get away with it.

Remember Kenneth Gladney? He was attacked and called the n-word for being a conservative.

When I spoke with him at the Tea Party in Las Vegas, Kenneth said that he wasn’t really scared until they tried to kick him in the head when he was on the ground. That’s when he realized that he could be permanently injured or even killed.

I notice that the cheap-shot tactics are alive and well in the video above, and the intent is not to persuade with facts and truth, but to use the ‘persuasion of power’ because they don’t have any relevant arguments.

It is interesting that the good guy always try to fight fair, and the bad guy uses cheap shots. The U.S. Military holds to the highest standards and rules of engagement to fight fairly, and defeat the enemy, but not at the cost of their integrity.

Apparently, there isn’t that type of integrity on the other side. Just knock some heads, because the facts don’t support your arguments. Oh, and when you realize that you will be seen or recorded, act like you didn’t. Too bad the geniuses in this video didn’t know that this modern technology was right across the street.

Doug Hoffman

Doug Hoffman

No Freakin’ Way!!! Now that ALL the votes are being counted and tabulated, Doug Hoffman surges from behind to close his gap with Bill Owens! Absentee ballots from the military have only just arrived TODAY (11/16/09) and they are counting them now.

The potential for this race to be overturned has blossomed as the fact continue to come to light. From the mis-reported vote totals in several NY counties and precincts, to the faulty Sequoia Voting machines, now BANNED in California and many other fluffy states because they are so INACCURATE, this could be a new race.

Hoffman conceded on election night when his deficit was reported to be more than 5000 votes. Today, it is just over 2000, and there are almost 10,000 more absentee and military votes to still be counted. The possibility of an reversal is ever-increasing as the gap narrows. Hoffman stated on the Glenn BEck radio show today that had these numbers been accurately reported on election night, we would not have conceded, but waited for the absentee ballots.

Stay tuned, Bat-fans…….

The Ladies ‘Represent!’

Posted by admin on Nov-16-2009

The Guardian, a UK-based newspaper and online rag, is in a tizzy. Conservative women are becoming more prevalent and garnering more media attention. Even as the GOP becomes more white and more southern, these ladies (from the West, & Midwest?) are rising stars of the ‘right-wing’ movement. They bemoan the rise of Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin, and Michelle Bachmann.

Michelle Bachmann has received a special drubbing by Paul Harris of The Observer in New York and spread abroad by the British tabloid:

“a cursory glance at her(Bachmann’s) career reveals that this rising star has long trafficked in some extreme positions. In October last year Bachmann called some of her fellow congressmen anti-American. She has said Obama holds socialist views. She has attacked global warming by saying that carbon dioxide emissions are a natural part of the atmosphere. “Carbon dioxide is not a harmful gas, it is a harmless gas,” she said. She has fed into fears of a violent backlash against Obama by saying that “having a revolution every now and then is a good thing”. She has spoken of “gangster government” in a speech viewed more than two million times on the internet. She has dubbed Obama’s plans to increase AmeriCorps – a

Scary? c'mon!

Scary? c'mon!

government volunteer service group – as a plan to forcibly indoctrinate young people. “I believe there is a very strong chance that we will see young people put into mandatory service…  there are provisions for what I would call re-education camps for young people,” she told an interviewer. Her language in opposing healthcare reform has been bloodcurdling. At a recent event in Colorado she told her audience: “What we have to do today is make a covenant, to slit our wrists, be blood brothers on this thing. This will not pass. We will do whatever it takes to make sure this doesn’t pass.” She is also extremely socially conservative, strongly opposing abortion and gay marriage, and deeply religious. She has described herself as a “fool for Christ”.”

Where to start? A lot of our current representatives in Congress espouse ideals that are distinctly anti-American and against the Constitution. Recently, one congressman admitted that there was no Constitutional basis for the healthcare legislation. His defense? ‘most’ of what Congress deals with has no basis in the Constitution. nice. So, Bachmann 1 , Harris 0.

She called Obama a socialist? um…… hello? ’spread the wealth around?’; ‘redistributive change?’; ’single-payer healthcare plan?’     Bachmann 2, Harris 0.

She believes Carbon Dioxide is not a harmful greenhouse gas. Wow, this one floors me. Every breath we take, we exhale carbon dioxide, it is a natural part of life. And what happens to it? PLANTS use it for photosynthesis and make OXYGEN!!! You would think the liberals who revere the Circle of Life would pick up on the mutually-beneficial nature of this relationship! Want to save the rainforest? EXPEL MORE CO2!!!! DUH!  Bachmann 3, Harris 0.

She has promoted a ‘violent backlash’ by stating: “Having a revolution every now and then is a good thing.” Why does it have to be physical violence? Can’t it be a ‘revolt’ at the ballot box? Aside from that, does Mr. Harris know his history? The Founding Fathers spoke of the need for vigilance, for defense of  Liberty FROM governmental tyranny, and don’t even get me started on Jefferson’s quote about watering the Tree of Liberty with the blood of tyrants. Bachmann 4, Harris 0.

Americorps leading to mandatory service? um…. it was Rham Emanuel, Obama’s CHIEF of STAFF, who endorses and promotes forced volunteerism by young people! And with all of the Obama kids school videos coming out, how much of a stretch would would re-education camps be? Look at what the WH is doing with FOX News and the media. Report favorably to us, or we’ll attack you and threaten you. That’s the same as Mr. Harris’ next worry, ‘gangster government.’ Any casual observer of this administration can see the thuggish nature it operates in.

Firing the CEO of GM, the war with FOX, the trashing of GM investors when they wouldn’t bend over and take a loss in favor of the UAW, etc. etc. the list goes on. This is the most pro-actively intimidating administration since Nixon.

Bachmann 6, Harris 0.

‘Bloodcurdling’ language to oppose healthcare? Making a blood oath is something we understood growing up, as a solemn vow. Making a small cut on the hands or the wrist and then pressing hands or wrists together meant that you were indivisible in your cause. (that was before HIV Aids was big) Ever heard of the term, ‘Blood Brothers’? It was an imaginative term she used to express the dedication to  opposition to becoming the slave of a government-run healthcare system!

Dude! get a clue, already! Bachmann 7, Harris 0.

“fool for Christ”? This is a common statement in Christianity, stemming from King David’s vow to his wife: ““I was dancing before the LORD, who chose me above your father and his family! He appointed me as the leader of Israel, the people of the LORD. So I am willing to act like a fool in order to show my joy in the LORD. 22 Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish than this…” 2 Samuel 6:21, 22.

OR, it could be rooted in the Apostle Paul’s assertion: “Instead, God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose those who are powerless to shame those who are powerful.” 1 Corinthians 1:27

AND in 1 Corinthians 4:9,10 “ We have become a spectacle to the entire world – to people and angels alike. 10 Our dedication to Christ makes us look like fools, but you are so wise! We are weak, but you are so powerful! You are well thought of, but we are laughed at.”

It’s a statement of being willing to take a hit for what you believe in and not waver. It is a mark of true faith. People with little or no faith don’t understand such devotion, and can’t grasp what it is like. So they fear it.

I don’t know where they grow NY journalists, but I think it’s somewhere in France. The ability to have your head so far up your rear and still write for a nationally-recognized paper and even get international reprints is amazing. But…. wait, so is the National Enquirer, so I guess it has precedent.

I’m Just sayin….

Did the Professor Act ‘Stupidly’?

Posted by admin on Nov-12-2009

Black Columbia Professor punches white co-worker, who happens to be a woman, in the face at a local bar. Is it a hate crime? Sexist attack? I guess it would depend on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is. Did this Professor act ’stupidly’, to put it in President Obama’s terms?

After a weeks-long argument over race relations and what he called, ‘white privilege’, this sterling piece of humanity decks the woman who dared to challenge his ideology. I guess when you run out of intellectual arguments, knocking out your opponent with a jab to the face is always a legitimate fall-back position…

The Professor With the Right Jab

The Professor With the Right Jab

Lionel McIntyre, Professor of Architecture at Columbia University, was at a local bar after work having a heated discussion with another Columbia employee, Camille Davis, who is a production manager in the theatre department. They had argued over race, and it had escalated to the point that McIntyre felt he needed to drive his point home with his fists. Patrons and bartender threw him out of the bar, and he was arrested a short time later. Camille was seen wearing sunglasses the next day to cover her black eye.

The discussion was about race, the participants were of different races, and both people attacked were of the same race. Does this qualify as a hate crime? Should it?

Personally, I think that a crime is a crime, and criminals should be punished. I don’t see the point of adding a qualifier for race, unless you are looking to intimidate. The problem is that when you make it about race, you get away from the crime. If penalties for crimes were stiff enough, we wouldn’t even entertain adding levels of severity for races or special interest groups. OR, if common sense hadn’t died, we could figure these things out without all the over-legislation.

This jerk punched a woman in the face. He should be fired, prosecuted, and sued. If he were white, same thing. If he were white and Camille were black, same thing. If he were purple and she were green, same thing.

Eric Digging up the Truth!

Eric Digging up the Truth!

Will our fearless leader sound off on this college-professor incident? Will there be a beer summit? Will Attorney General Eric Holder whip his Civil Rights Division into action over at the Justice Department? You know, the one he recently expanded and over-funded to stop hate-crimes and discrimination before it ever happens?

We know he dropped the charges against the two Black Panther members who were blocking access to a polling place in PA during the 2008 election. We know he has called Americans ‘cowards’ when it comes to discussing race in our nation. But this poses an interesting question: Who would Mr. Holder characterize as the coward in this incident, the attacker who used his fists? Or the lady who wasn’t afraid to discuss her opinions on race?

Holder should actually be proud of Camille Davis, as she obviously isn’t the coward about race. But will he condemn McIntyre without equivocation? Wouldn’t the coward be the one who ran out of intellectual arguments and had to resort to violence?

I think that as long as there are incidents such as this that go unanswered, while the famous Beer Summit got national attention, there will be those who are afraid to discuss race in America. Even the media aren’t rushing to publicize this crime even though it is alive and well in the blogosphere.

This Jerk needs to be made into an example for men who think they can intimidate and abuse women. His punishment should be swift and harsh. But he also needs to be made into an example, by President ‘don’t-jump-to-conclusions’ Obama, and Attorney General ‘Americans-are-cowards’ Holder, because this is precisely the breakdown in civility that we don’t need in our discussions about race. Anything less would be excusing and condoning this despicable behavior.

I’m just sayin’……….
